Linear Appraisal: 2023 VVVG 86 (drying off)

Sioux is one of my absolute favorite does in our herd for so many reasons. We got Sioux as part of a local herd dispersal and she came to us one week before our linear appraisal and was half dried off. The appraiser encouraged us to appraise her anyways and she scored well despite not having a great udder fill. Fast forward to this summer and Sioux has been cleaning up in the show ring. She has consistently placed at the top of her class at competitive shows and has won Best Doe in Show not once, but twice! One judge stated that Sioux “excelled in every area of the score card.” On the milk stand, Sioux is one of my favorites because she has such a soft udder and very open orifices making her a joy to milk. To top it off, Sioux has a calm and easy going personality that make her so enjoyable to be around.
